Yuri Cowan

Yuri Cowan

Director — CA, PP, BCom, PGCertIT

Yuri's decade-plus in accounting and finance has taken him from insurance to business manager at a deep tech start-up and on to principal in public practice. He works with early-stage ventures through to multi-entity groups across professional services, property, construction and tech.

He specialises in financial planning and analysis, turning complex data into clear, jargon-free information. For one client, he built an integrated three-way forecast and valuations, modelling key drivers, seasonality and bank financing scenarios, so the owners could see the impact of a shareholding change and reach a deal.

He regularly presents to owners and boards, explaining what the numbers mean and the decisions worth considering, while leaving the final call with them. Outside the office, Yuri builds race cars, rebuilds engines and competes in wingfoiling.

Andrew Brooks

Director — CA, PP, BCom

Andrew has spent over a decade in accounting, moving from public practice to Head of Finance for a UK not-for-profit and back into senior advisory roles in New Zealand. He works with businesses from start-up to $30M+ across a broad range of industries.

He specialises in building and optimising finance functions. For one client, he moved the business onto Xero and built a daily, weekly and monthly finance rhythm, with a structured month-end close and clearer controls, lightening the internal team's workload and giving the owners timely, accurate reporting to make decisions on.

He's hands-on in the day-to-day and just as comfortable presenting to boards or sitting with owners on the big calls. A Waiheke transplant, Andrew enjoys time with his young family, on the water and in his local community.
